There are many awesome cafes in New York City, and Two Hands Cafe is one of them. This cheery cafe is known for its healthy Western food and awesome coffee. It is located along Mott Street, a teeming thoroughfare in Chinatown (Manhattan).
Convivial Vibe
We visited Two Hands Cafe on a weekday afternoon and there was already a long queue outside! We waited for about 20 minutes before getting a seat. This cozy cafe exudes a convivial vibe with its brightly-lit interiors and artistic pictures lining the brick walls, complete with light bulbs and fluffy cotton clouds hanging from the ceiling.
Avo Toast with Egg
I ordered the Avo Toast ($7). This tantalizing dish consists of smashed avocado spread on pullman toast, along with a myriad of condiments like sea salt, black pepper, chili flakes and olive oil. I topped it off with a Sunny Side Up Egg ($3).
I loved it!
The avocado had a sweet tangy flavour and went nicely with the soft bread. All the flavours were nicely enhanced with the various condiments, and I especially enjoyed the taste of the black pepper and chili flakes. The perfectly done sunny side up egg completed the gastronomical experience. I finished the entire toast in a hurry.
Flat White Coffee
It would be a waste if I didn’t check out the exceptional coffee at Two Hands Cafe. I had the Flat White ($3.50), and it didn’t disappoint. The coffee was the focus here, and did a good job of perking me up for the sleepy afternoon. There was also a good balance of milk and foam that felt really smooth and velvety on my palate.
Conclusion
It would definitely be a good idea to check out Two Hands Cafe after exploring the vibrant enclave of Chinatown in Manhattan. The food here is not only delicious, but very nutritious too! Make sure you try the awesome coffee here as well.
