Maafushi Island is generally hot and sunny throughout the year, with little rainfall.
The best months to visit Maafushi are January and February. This is because during these two months, there is not much rainfall and the temperatures averages just 29 degree Celsius.
Between March and December, temperatures go up to around 31 degree Celsius, which is still bearable. However, the wet season is from May to December, when rainfall increases considerably.
We visited Maafushi during end December and it only rained on one of the days during our 5 day trip. The rest of the days were all beautiful with sunny weather. Do take note to use lots of sunblock lotion because the Maldivian sun is really intense! Both Raevian and I got really tanned after our Maafushi trip.
